Love at First Sight

Our second stop on this trip was Madrid and I fell in love with the city the moment I saw it. The giant parks adding a touch of green to the city life, the white buildings during sunset, the wide streets. Wow, if I could go back to only one city it would be Madrid. I could see myself living and working in this city. The shops, the food, the scenery is something that I don’t think I will ever get tired off. This city was cleaner and was not jammed pack with people— at least not as much as Barcelona. The weather in Madrid was similar to California weather, hot and dry. It was nice stepping off the train and not feeling sticky. I also had the best vegan meal in my whole entire vegan life while I was there. Going beyond the beauty of the city, this week I spent in Madrid was when I built deeper relationships with those in my group. After this trip Madrid will always have a special place in my heart.
